What sidestep is

sidestep is a referral network for niche job boards, newsletters and Slack communities. We do not act as a recruiter, an agency, or an employer. Hiring decisions, employment contracts, and salary negotiations are entirely between the parties involved.

Use of the tools

The free tools on /tools (including Boo Search) are provided as-is for personal job-search use. They produce Google search URLs; we do not store or proxy your queries. Don't use them to scrape, spam, or harass.

Communities & embeds

When a community embeds sidestep, the operator agrees to keep candidate referrals confidential and to not use referral data for unsolicited marketing. We may remove the embed at any time if used in bad faith.

Liability

sidestep is a thin coordination layer. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of referrals, the conduct of hiring managers, or the outcome of any introduction.
