What they'll be doing

i.e. what does their day to day look like, team size and management, who is their direct report and a little taste of targets and KPIs they will be focused on.

Manage our marketing team and budget, ensuring we deliver effective work.
Track performance of our marketing efforts, setting KPIs and reporting against them.
Develop a go-to market strategy for each of our customer profiles.
Act as a guardian for our brand voice and purpose, challenging the founders when it’s not working as it should. Translate airy concepts into succinct copy.
Be hands-on in delivering marketing activity, from community events to content production.

Hard skills

Hard skills are job or industry specific skills that can be easily measured through training and education. i.e. programming languages, CAD software proficiency, fluent German speaker.

Has at least three years experience in a fast growth marketing team, looking to step up into running a team.
Is an Ops-focused generalist rather than a deep specialist - B2B services background is ideal, as is knowledge of our key channels: LinkedIn, network, community and events. Performance marketing and SEO not so much.

Soft skills

Soft skills are non-technical, interpersonal skills. i.e. leadership, teamwork,problem solving, communication.

Isn’t afraid to get stuck in - although we’re growing fast we’re still pretty small and organically funded so we get a lot done ourselves.
Has a deep understanding and alignment with our purpose and values.
Is happy working in a close knit team …but can also manage their own workload independently. Enjoys solving problems, building their own network and taking responsibility for their own progression.
You’re happy in a fast-paced environment and iterating on the go.
